House details
The house is situated in the old part of the town; five minutes walk from the centre. There is pay and display parking outside the house (recently introduced) with a limit to 3 hrs parking Monday – Saturday; Sunday and all evenings after 6pm are free.
We are able to provide you with a free parking permit for the red zone outside the house for one day only. More permits are available in the house for £5/day. We shall send you details of the nearest pay and display car parks (5 mins walk).
Size of house
The house has three-bedrooms, sleeping up to six. The first floor has a double bedroom (king sized bed with king sized duvet) and en-suite shower room, bathroom with shower over bath, two second floor bedrooms. (One single and one with king sized bed and single futon). It has a small rear garden with garden furniture.
The house is well equipped with micro wave, dish washer, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, TV & DVD player. There are some basic supplies of soap, toilet paper, washing up liquid, dishwashing tablets, washing powder and cleaning materials. If supplies run out when you are staying please replenish.
There is a basket of children’s toys in the dining room and children’s books can be found in one of the top floor bedrooms.
Bed linen towels and tea towels and bathmats are provided. There are blankets for the king size bed in an oak blanket chest; duvets and blankets for second floor bedrooms in top landing wardrobe drawer. Extra duvets can be found in top floor double bed drawer and bathroom cupboard.
The gas and electricity and water will be switched on when you arrive, please leave them on. If, in an emergency, you do require access to the switches they are as follows:
Electricity- the main switch and fuse board is above the front door.
Gas- the main tap is situated in the front room, behind a small wooden flap under the front window seat.
Water- the main tap is outside the front door; left hand small manhole cover when standing with your back to the house.
The boiler is left on from the end of October – end of March to warm the house through in the morning and evening. Please follow the instruction booklet kept by the boiler to adjust the times to suit yourselves. On leaving please return the times as previously set.
Adjust the water temperature by using the right - hand knob.

Most windows have locks. The keys for these are inside the kitchen wall cabinet closest to the window, in a pink basket. The keys to the back door are also here.

Take your rubbish home unless you are staying over on a Monday when the rubbish is collected very early on the Tuesday morning. An alternative suggestion is to take small bags of rubbish up to the town bins.
Shut and lock the windows
Leave the dishwasher, washing machine doors ajar using the blocks of wood provided! The fridge can be left on.
